Lambert calls for VAR in the Premier League
Stoke manager Paul Lambert has called for VAR in the Premier League after a controversial penalty was awarded against his side for Arsenal’s opening goal in the 3-0 defeat.
I’ve seen VAR work. I saw it in Germany and it worked seamlessly, absolutely no problem at all. We bring it over here and it seems to be confusing. In those sort of instances (the first penalty), absolutely (it should be used). Because the way the game’s going, the referees maybe need a little bit of help as well. I just spoke to Craig not long after the game and asked him what he saw.
In big moments in big games, I think you’ve got to be 100 per cent right to call them, especially in the magnitude of the game. It was a game-changer. I know we’ve got the benefit of the replay and Craig doesn’t but I just think big moments you have to be so precise that it is a penalty.

Keown: Sanchez overindulged at Arsenal
Arsenal legend Martin Keown believes Alexis Sanchez is struggling at Manchester United because he was ‘overindulged’ during his time in north London.
The Chilean has managed just one goal in his first 10 appearances since arriving at Old Trafford in a swap deal in January which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go the other way, and he was even dropped by Jose Mourinho for his side’s FA Cup win over Brighton last time out.
As reported by
The Mirror , Keown has attempted to identify the reason for the Chilean’s decline in form, which is reportedly a source of great frustration for his team-mates.
And believes he isn’t being treated the same way he was at Arsenal.
“I have spoken before about how Sanchez was being overindulged at Arsenal. At Manchester United he is just another member of the group and that is clearly affecting him,” the Arsenal legend told the
Daily Mail.

Tottenham's latest international
Tottenham Hotspur winger Anthony Georgiou is now a full international after making his debut for Cyrpus on Friday.
Georgiou turned 21 last month and has just gained his Cypriot citizenship, meaning he could compete at a senior level for the country.
The left winger had played for Cyprus at youth level, and was put straight into the senior starting XI for his country as they drew 0-0 in Friday’s home friendly against Montenegro.
Georgiou signed a new deal with Spurs until 2020 in November and his sole competitive appearance so far under Mauricio Pochettino was coming off the bench in Cyprus in the Champions League against Apoel Nicosia.

That’s right! West Ham want Mario Balotelli according to reports in Turkey, with Galatasaray expecting to battle the Irons for the Italian striker at the end of the season.
Assuming David Moyes can keep the club up, the former Liverpool and Manchester City forward could leave Nice on a free in the summer, and the London Stadium is apparently one of the most likely destinations for his next switch.

Arsenal want deal done by June
Arsenal are keen to complete the signing of Lyon’s Nabil Fekir before the World Cup starts and they are prepared to pay €50m to make that happen - according to
reports in Spain.
Earlier in the week, Fekir’s agent spoke about the possibility of his client leaving:
If at the end of the season, which is not the case today, we have to make a decision, then we will sit down with the president and find the right solution. I respect Lyon first and foremost. We will not go wild after a confrontation. Nabil is in a great French club, if not the biggest. If someday we left Lyon, the club where it was formed, to whom we owe everything, we will leave in good condition. Nabil has the personal goal of being part of one of the 10 best clubs in Europe.
