Manchester United confirm why Anthony Martial missed Crystal Palace game

Manchester United Football Club takes on Crystal Palace this evening, and there was one notable omission from the matchday squad.
Anthony Martial was missing from the travelling party, and now the club’s official Twitter account has confirmed that the Frenchman is indeed injured.
Although the club didn’t specify how significant the injury was, or what the problem area is, I sincerely hope it isn’t anything serious. We’ve the biggest week of the season just ahead of us, with Liverpool visiting Old Trafford followed by Sevilla heading here in the Champions League last sixteen clash.
Martial’s form had dipped recently, but that’s always been the case since his arrival from AS Monaco. I guess the wing position is unpredictable at times, but if he could improve in that consistency, there is absolutely no reason why he cannot go on to achieve big things in this game.
Anyway, hopefully, we’ll hear more from Mourinho after the game and let’s pray it’s just a precaution.
Perhaps this will give Alexis Sanchez his chance to shine out on the left, however. Every cloud has a silver lining I suppose…
